This papyrus is a replica of the back of king Tut's throne. The painting depicts the king sitting on the throne with his wife Queen Ankesenamun besides him. The "Atun"or Sun god shines on both of them. The original golden throne is in the Egyptian museum in Cairo as shown in Pic2. King Tut one of the most famous Egyptian kings ruled Egypt as a boy circa (1342 – c. 1325 BC) . Tutankhamun took the throne at eight or nine years of age under the unprecedented viziership of his eventual successor, Ay, to whom he may have been related. He married his half sister Ankhesenamun shown together in many scenes as one depicted on the royal throne. The 1922 discovery by Howard Carter of Tutankhamun's nearly intact tomb, received worldwide press coverage. With over 5,000 artifacts, it sparked a renewed public interest in ancient Egypt, for which Tutankhamun's mask, now in the Egyptian Museum, remains a popular symbol. All the artifacts excavated from the king's tomb are shown in different museum's around the world. However the main collection is in the Egyptian museum in Cairo.
